Work is over for another year...

Just to say a great big welcome to any of 3L who have decided to join me too!
What an emotional last day it was yesterday. I have really enjoyed being with all the children at Crofton Hammond Junior, one of the best bunch of children a teacher could possibly get.
But life goes on, things change and so must we.
I'm looking ahead now to Thursday. It's such a short time to go. All my injections are done and everything is booked up ready for departure. Things are getting both exciting and apprehension is building. This is a journey and experience of a lifetime but it also means being away from my family for a month. That is the hardest part of this trip.

5 days to go!

Welcome to my Nepal blog!

Namaste!
Hello to all and especially any of 3F that have decided to follow my writings.

On Thursday 29th July 2010 at 22.00 I leave for Kathmandu in Nepal. I will be flying into Delhi in India at 11.00 on Friday morning then catching a connection flight to Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, at 12.55. Let's hope all get their act together and I don't miss my flight from Delhi!

I'm going to spend three weeks as a volunteer in Nepal teaching at a school called HEARTLANDS CHILDREN'S ACADEMY. I have no idea yet what my timetable, the age I'm teaching or what subjects I'm teaching will be! A bit like doing supply work :-)

After that I spend one week touring the Golden Triangle in northern India, I'm hoping to keep this blog going during that time too so you can follow my adventures.

But for now I will post updates here about what is happening in regards to my forthcoming trip.

19 days to go!
